Executive Director Bio

Maria Guillory, MPA, CFRE, has over 18 years of experience in nonprofit management with 15 years of direct fundraising. Maria is a strategic professional who passionately and enthusiastically work to help provide services/programs to nonprofit clients. Throughout her career as a fundraiser, Maria has successfully developed and cultivated both internal and external relationships that foster partnerships in various planning and resource development projects. Maria is driven by her desire to help fill the gaps that nonprofits experience as they strive to provide quality programs.

Maria’s background includes recruiting, training, and managing volunteers (including board development). She has planned, managed, and successfully executed numerous special events; including researching individual, corporate and private foundation prospects, cultivating, soliciting, asking, and recognizing donors, and compiling budgets and reports associated with the projects. She is also experienced in researching, implementing, and utilizing donor software for tracking, reporting, and communicating with donors. She has written strategic resource development plans, policies and procedures, and training documents. Her experience also includes researching, planning, writing federal, state, and private/corporation foundation grants for agencies such as Sue Miller Day of Caring, The Urban League of Metropolitan Denver, Community College of Aurora, Colorado MESA, Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD), Shared Housing, AIDS Interfaith Network, Girls, Inc. Spindletop Center, and others.

She is a proud mom of two intelligent and philanthropic daughters (one in college and one who is graduating in 2017). Maria is a 14-year breast cancer survivor and excited to help others who are affected with traumatic health issues. She earned both a Masters of Public Affairs and Bachelors of Art in Political Science from the University of Texas in Richardson, Texas.
